Hopefully this site brings much needed transparency to the public, co-counsel attorneys, and claimants, although the site looks like a very basic version and is likely going to cost plaintiffs a rip-off amount for development out of the common benefit fund. I, for one, would love to see transparency on the cost. Considering how basic the site is - it would be highway robbery to charge more than a few hundred bucks for this site - perhaps a couple thousand if they really have no choice and needed it in a rush. Anything over that amount is almost certainly a case for demanding more transparency about how and when common funds get spent - which ultimately come out of plaintiffs pockets.

I of course have no idea what they paid for the website - or if it will be paid for by a common benefit fund - these are just my initial concerns.

I also find it a little interesting that the website is set to not be indexed or followed by search engines like Google. This means they really don't want people finding this website or content on Google. Is it because they want people to find law firm websites or even websites like this one, which are focused on lead generation - or was it set like that by mistake - or is it really the best practice to keep the site somewhat private.

They don't appear to have any analytics or tracking setup on the website - which is a good thing - although it could just be they rushed to comply with the order and haven't decided yet about what else to add to the website.

The domain whois shows they registered through Google Domains, who recently sold off that entity to Squarespace. The announcement was that Google Domains is shutting down, but I assume they will just transfer everything seamlessly. Still, I hope the webmaster, who is hidden behind privacy registration is on top of this so there aren't any surprises like this website going down in middle of important case updates.

Regardless, I think having a website that the public can visit to keep track of everything going on in the case is a very good idea and I'm happy the website exists - although I would be much happier if it had contact info for the Plaintiffs Leadership Committees on it.
